Getting together some info...

So for the past few days, I have been emailing the Athletic and Activities Director for the Western Academy of Beijing.

Well, before I get into that, I guess I should say, I AM going to Beijing.  (There was a little hesitation that I may not be in Beijing, but in Shanghai or Guangzhou.)  I will be working through the Institute for Western Surgery (IWS), in Beijing at the Western Academy of Beijing (WAB).

Now, through my correspondences with Martin, I have found out that I will be starting on August 1 with WAB, in which I will be going through the new teacher program with the other new teachers at WAB.  (No, I will not be a teacher, but the AAD thinks this will be a great way to get my bearings in Beijing and meet other folks.  As I was looking over the schedule, I can feel a pool of joy billowing within me!  One of the days we are going to the Great Wall!  I can't believe-I will get to walk the Great Wall of China!  (I hope to be able to say that a few times on this blog!)

As for actual work...Yes!  I will be working!  There are 4 seasons and from what I understand, the first one will be the busiest; there is rugby, soccer, tennis and a couple other sports as well.  I also found out we will be hosting a few tournaments on our campus.  The other three seasons will have some sports throughout, but will not be as intensive as the first one.  I have also gotten a calendar of dates that the school will be closed for holidays.  This should help me schedule and plan some smaller trips to other places in the east!  To take a quote from The Duck Dynasty "Happy, happy, happy!"

Well, off to bed for the evening...It looks like things may be coming together...More details to come as they are given to me...
